June 30: Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Caturday

Harriet Beecher Stowe died on this date in 1896. The "Uncle Tom's Cabin" author had been convinced she lived in the end times, with the apocalypse possibly due in 1858.


This has been Kitten Week at Today's Date in Apocalypse History, and though I've already shared seven days of kitten pictures or videos, today is Caturday and it seems fitting to include one more. This is on a more personal note too - a favorite old picture of Ava and Ivan, the sibling cats of "TDAH" friend Lauryl.
